Tour Itinerary: Lima-San Mateo-Rio Blanco-Lima.
The Rapagna lake, Huarochirí province , 4500 meters above sea level. We'll go on a shuttle van to the town of Rio Blanco , at kilometer 102 of the Central Highway , at 3500 meters high. From there walk uphill about 4 or 5 hours, 6 kilometers of a well-marked trail. The descent by the same route takes 2 ½ hours.
Departure Saturday : 2:00 pm at the site suggested by visitors
Walk Duration : 10 hours
Our service includes : accommodation, breakfast on board mobility, private car and guide .
Requires : good health , fitness and especially predisposition toward the effort.
What to wear ?
Comfortable clothing . Note " 3 layers ": 1 pole , 1 light jacket , sweater or vest , 1 waterproof. Pant office or diver. No jeans. If you are chilly (a ) uses or mesh long underwear under pants .
Backpack " Attack " (small or medium , no briefcase. )
3-4 liters of water and / or rehydration drink .
Eating Out ( fruit , nuts , cereal bar , a light sandwich, preferably not canned . )
Mesh .
Sunglasses .
Sunscreen ( Share of several to carry less weight. )
Optional: Trekking shoes , cane , gloves , camera, or dromedary camelback .
Recommendations;
Some people take acetazolamide (Diamox ) the run for better acclimatization. Consult it with your doctor.
